I really enjoy my course because it’s incredibly creative and allows me to express myself in a practical way.
One of the things I love is that I have my own space and booths, which give me the freedom to work independently and focus on my projects. It’s a perfect balance between hands-on work and learning the theory behind it.
Having my own booth really helps me learn because it makes me more independent. I feel like I’m in my own little world, free from distractions, which helps me focus and develop my skills.
The supportive staff and my classmates are always there to help if I need it. If I’m struggling with something, I can easily speak to my teachers, and they’re really helpful. The college’s design of the learning environment really encourages confidence and self-reliance.
My future goal is to work in this industry and eventually start my own business. I haven’t done work placement yet, but I plan to next year. I believe that gaining real-world experience will give me valuable insights into the industry and help me understand how to succeed outside of the classroom. The college’s emphasis on practical skills and real-life scenarios makes a big difference in preparing students for their careers. Practicing in our dedicated areas like my booth is especially beneficial because it teaches me how to think for myself and solve problems independently. If I make a mistake, I can learn how to fix it, which builds my confidence and skills. This hands-on approach truly prepares students for the realities of a future career.
The college’s facilities and supportive environment have made my learning experience incredibly positive, and I feel confident that I am gaining the skills I need for my future in painting and decorating.
